Eco Laos
Laos will stay in my mind as a special place. Everything here is do nice and interesting. This is definietly a place where I would like to come back one day, not like to Vietnam. That was interesting only experience, well maybe I could visit it again, but Laos - this place is so full of magic! Some people call this country as a Country of a Million Elephants - but those animals are quite rare here, not like it used to be in the past. The other call Laos a Country of a Smiling People and this is very truth, but I would call it a Country of an Eco Tourism, and Organic Laos! Everywhere we go all trips are promoted as eco friendly and that the money are going to local people for their support, - their culture and heritage. This is beautiful - it means that As soon as they opened themselves for tourism, they are not trying to sell their country for everyone, and as cheap as chips, they are trying - or the government is trying to preserve their culture. Even all women here supposed to wear their national skirt all the time, and not some western stuff...! and most of them does! They don't look like somebody was forcing them for something they don't want to, they sees to be very happy! And coming back about this eco thing - everything even for sell look like all the shops were like organic shops - I mean all this shops for tourist and not his one with food - they sell mostly the western "crap" ;) Like in posh London's organic boutique's;)
During exploring Vientiane and other places - the next one was Vang Vieng and now in Luang Prabang - everyone seems to be vry chatty, but what is mostly interesting for me is that that buddhist monks are the most chatty persons we meet! Every time during our visit to a Watt they are coming up to us and try to practice their english skills! and some of them are pretty good!

This picture I took because - they asked as for help with their english grammar homework! ;)
Last couple of days we spend in Vang Vieng - very picturesque place on the way between Vientiane and Luang Prabang. We stayed in a bungalows near the river and had stunning view on a mountains! That was amazing. We done a tiny trekking on this mountain - only tiny because after climbing to first cave - we thought we are gonna die because of extremely high temperature! I think that was easy over 40 degrees if not more - real tropic weather! And humid - it seems that oxygen disappeared from the air ! not even better in the shade! Vietnam was just warm comparing to this place;) well, maybe I am exaggerating a bit but seriously I newer sweet so much like when I was climbing to this cave! Afterwards , we decided to take a tuk tuk instead of walking 6 km one way to find other caves... That seemed to much for us ;) I think we are still getting used to to this weather;)
Not far from the place where we stayed - anyway everywhere was pretty close - there was like a little island where was a lot of happy bars - smiling bar, joker bar etc.... In general drugs are not permitted in this country - but in this places you could get anything with drugs,- like drinks or food! amazing.. Well, paradise for some people - as we've noticed - in Laos there is quite a lot of alternative and all kind of hippie people, who arrive here cos they were looking for nice relaxing place where they can enjoy themselves surrounded by stunning nature...! Its very hippie!

As on the picture, there was a lot of places like this one where people could just sit and enjoy...! They beverage, or view, or ... stuff;)
